Mary Angela Miller, MS, RDN, LD
Food Safety Coach
Mary’s professional experience spans 30 years as a hospital administrator, a Food & Nutrition Services director and nutrition care leader and operations specialist responsible for hundreds of staff, serving millions of meals and thousands of patients at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Mary is also a noted communicator and media specialist. She has served as spokesperson for her local and state professional association, is an in-demand main stage speaker at national and international conferences.
In recognition of her leadership and numerous industry contributions Mary was awarded the food service industry’s highest honor: The International Food Manufacturers’ (IFMA) Silver Plate for Healthcare. She has also been recognized by Food service Equipment Reports for its Industry Excellence Award, earned Foodservice Equipment & Supplies Top Achiever Award and named one of Foodservice Management Innovators of the Year.
She has served as president of the National Healthcare Food service Management Association and as president and media representative for the State & District Dietetic Associations and an IFMA Educational Foundation trustee. Mary is a graduate of Youngstown State and Case Western Reserve Universities.
Mary is passionate about developing food safety programs and products for customers, clients and consumers. She continues to give back by educating future professionals enrolled in OSU’s health sciences programs and volunteering as an IFMA foundation trustee, providing scholarships for promising future food service leaders.
