Person in Charge: PIC (Ohio Level 1)

Ohio Dept of Health #89-17 APPROVED for food service operations & retail food establishments -Level 1


Take your food safety training in a traditional classroom setting!  


The Ohio Uniform Food Code requires that a Person in Charge, knowledgeable about food safety, be present at a restaurant or grocery during all hours of operation.  The PIC must be able to show they understand food safety related to their operation. Each participant will receive a copy of the ServSafe® Certified Food Handler Guide, 7th edition and a Certificate of Completion.
​Time: 2 hours 

ServSafe®: Food Protection Manager’s Certification (Ohio Level 2)

This two-day class prepares the student to take the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification Exam at the conclusion of the second day.  Every participant will receive a copy of the ServSafe® Manager Book, 7th edition.  All students who receive a passing score on the exam will receive a ServSafe® Certification certificate.
​Time: 2 Days (8 hours each day; 1 hour break for lunch) 

ServSafe®: Food Protection Manager’s Certification (Ohio Level 2) Review & Test/Retest

 If you choose to take the ServSafe® Manager Certification course online or if you need to retake the exam (due to not having a passing score on exam taken within past 30 days), you must take the exam under the supervision of a proctor. We offer a 1.5 hour review of course material, followed by a 2 hour proctored exam period.

If you are unable to attend a class that you have registered for, you may transfer your registration to a later class session. Please provide at least 24 hours notice to transfer. Please be aware that a class may be cancelled at any time. If a class is cancelled, we will contact you to transfer your registration to a later class. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate 

walk-in students.
